Doinb said “extremely harsh” words to LPL fans
Before LPL 2025 Split 1 took place, many viewers in this region thought that the “super team” IG was heavily favored by falling into a group that was too easy. IG fans even believe that they will soon achieve a winning result to pass the group stage. However, the reality is much more difficult for IG as they recently lost to Doinb's NIP with a disappointing score of 1-3. Even expected stars like Rookie or TheShy played extremely poorly in this match and made the disappointment even greater.

Rookie in game 4 confusingly used Cat Luu Dong straight towards the opponent and was defeated immediately afterwards.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the battle line, Doinb shined brightly with his “weird” cards to help NIP win. Unique picks like Ryze or even LeeSin Mid are used by Doinb extremely effectively and help NIP always have the advantage in decisive fights. However, this victory did not make Doinb completely happy as he himself believed that this was a sign that the LPL was in a relatively bad state.

Doinb had some “harsh” words to share with LPL fans after defeating IG
“The fact that I came back after 2 years of rest and still won is actually not good at all. The reason is because after 2 years, LPL doesn't have any new stars in the Mid lane position. When scrims, I feel my strength is low and the opponent's is still the same, everyone is stuck with something. So, I think the LPL region's hopes for this year's Worlds are relatively low given this situation Still going. Anyway, me and my teammates I will still celebrate after winning against a strong opponent like IG” – Doinb shared.
Even though LPL fans are “heartbroken”, they still have to agree with Doinb
Immediately after Doinb's above interview was widely shared, it became a hot topic of discussion in the LPL region. Many viewers agreed that it was “the hurtful truth” and Doinb was very brave to speak his mind. Many fans even believe that this lack of talent in the LPL also exists in other positions, not just Mid Lane.

“Actually, Doinb was just telling the truth. LPL currently doesn't have an excellent mid laner” – An audience admitted.

“Do you remember when Meiko didn't have any titles but was still chosen as Support of the Year? This shows that there aren't many good people in the Support position in LPL” – Another gamer shared
Indeed, when looking back at the current LPL players, the closest person to be considered a “superstar” is Knight and this player has also been playing for 6 years. Meanwhile, other potential young players like Sheer or Milkyway… are gradually fading over time and cannot reach stardom. And just like Doinb shared, when this guy returned to play after 2 years, his old opponents were still there, making LPL stuck and difficult to develop.

IG's “new” squad in the 2025 season are actually all old players who have fought for many years in the LPL.
Since EDG won the 2021 World Championship, the LPL region has been completely defeated by the LCK in the most prestigious tournament in League of Legends. They can have all-star squads and go to the Finals but still cannot win the championship when the old stars do not have a good enough inheritance. With the 2025 roster of LPL teams having been “finalized” and lacking excellent young talent, it wouldn't be too surprising if they continue to fail this season.
