Kodoani.com – Satelight announced on Friday that the manga “Tasūketsu” by Taiga Miyakawa will be adapted into an anime and is expected to be released this year. Tatsuo Satō (director of Nadesico, Lagrange – The Flower of Rin-ne) will direct and supervise the script. of the film at Satelight.

The manga “Tasūketsu” was highly rated and ranked in the top 10 of the “manga we want to adapt into anime” rankings at the Anime Japan 2019 and Anime Japan 2020 events.
The story revolves around a group of five people in a world where people suddenly disappear. A mysterious “Emperor” gathers them through anonymous messages and asks them to participate in a game with a single rule: “The majority will die”.
The manga adapted the anime short “Tasūketsu: Judgment Assizes,” which was funded through the Campfire crowdfunding campaign in 2020. The anime short aired in January 2021 and has a different cast than New TV anime project.
