In ‘Makoto/Truth,’ Makoto Tsukauchi provides Koichi with academic help and visits his penthouse, where she lectures him and Pop about vigilante history. She explains her research on Naruhata’s Guard and asks Koichi for help. She then discusses the risks with her brother, Detective Tsukauchi.
Koichi impresses Knuckleduster with his improved moves, although Pop is annoyed with Makoto. Public interviews reveal mixed opinions about the vigilantes. After Makoto’s laptop is stolen, Koichi pursues the thief, although Jube and Ichimoku stop him. Makoto uses his Polygraph Quirk on Koichi, but he ignores it, leaving her confused.
My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Episode 8 will feature a top American professional hero called Playboy Hero: Captain Celebrity. He was known for his flashy behavior and promiscuous reputation. Captain Celebrity will rescue Koichi from danger in this episode and will immediately upset Koichi with his selfish approach and prioritizing media attention over proper heroic behavior.
Captain Celebrity will also approach Makoto in a friendly, possibly flirtatious manner, creating further tension with Koichi. As the boy observes the contrast between real heroism and the image of celebrity, new personal and social challenges will begin to emerge around the presence of the foreign hero.
