The previously announced anime adaptation of Karasu wa Aruji wo Erabanai has revealed its first trailer and new key visuals, with a release date of April 2024. Studio Pierrot is animating the anime series . Check out the trailer.

The main cast includes Mutsumi Tamura as Yukiya and Miyu Irino as Wakamiya. Yoshiaki Kyogoku directed the film, Yukiko Yamamuro wrote the script. Meanwhile, Takumo Norita designed the characters and Eishi Segawa composed the music.
The anime series’ official website describes the story as follows: YUKIYA is the dimwitted second son of a regional boss in the Northern Dynasty territory. His younger brother surpassed him in studies. He’s also not good at sword fighting. Not that this ever bothered him. So it was shocking that this boy, who always claimed to have no ambitions, was the one chosen to serve the Prince in the royal court–. What awaits YUKIYA and his new master is conspiracy, murder, a mysterious drug and an invasion from an unexpected enemy. Can they save the world of Yatagarasu (three-legged crow in Japanese mythology)?
Karasu wa Aruji wo Erabanai Anime – Main imageThe anime adaptation Karasu wa Aruji wo Erabanai is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Chisato Abe and is the second part of the Yatagarasu fantasy novel series. A manga adaptation by Tsumi Matsuzaki began serialization in 2020 in Kodansha’s Evening magazine, before being moved to the Comic Days app in 2021.
The prequel, Karasu ni Hitoe wa Niawanai was also serialized as a manga on the Comic Days platform from 2018 to 2020. Kodansha is publishing it in English, under the title A Raven for All Seasons, on K-MANGA application, which describes the plot as:
