Kodoani.com – SEGA has announced a new trailer for Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii (Ryū ga Gotoku 8 Gaienen: Pirates in Hawaii) in Sony's live broadcast on Thursday's State of Play. At the same time, the demo of the game was available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S and PC through Steam.
The game will be released globally on February 21, a week earlier than the original schedule. This time, Goro Majima played the main character, with the context that took place half a year after the event of Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth. The story began when Majima drifted to a beach in a state of memory loss and then led a pirate band.
Players will discover three main locations: Hawaii, Rich Island and Madlantis, and can command boats to move between islands. The update after the release will add the new game mode+ in the form of free DLC, instead of paying as in Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth.
Those who pre -order will receive the Kasuga Pirate Crew & Special Outfit package, including Ichiban, Nancy's pet pet and two costumes. The Deluxe version offers additional custom packages, costumes and karaoke, while the Collector's Edition version also adds Acrylic base, eye cover, pins of treasure coins and pirate flags.
Earlier, Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth launched in January 2024, continued Yakuza: Like a Dragon and the eighth part of the Yakuza/Like A Dragon series. Sega and Ryu Ga Ga Gotoku Studio also revealed a new project with the name of Project Century at The Game Awards in December last year.
