Kodoani.com – Anime series “My Hero Academia: Vigilantes” (original title: Vigilante: Boku no Hero Academia Illegals), adapted from the manga by Hideyuki Furuhashi and Beds Courtjust revealed its main cast and expected release date in a new trailer. The movie will be released on April 7, 2025.

Shūichirō Umeda or Kōichi Haimawari:
A college freshman dreams of becoming a hero. After his fateful encounter with Knuckleduster, he began participating in self-defense activities.
Ikumi Hasegawa or Pop Step:
A self-proclaimed idol, often performing live in a guerrilla manner. She joins the vigilante group with Kōichi and Knuckleduster.
Yasuhiro Mamiya or Knuckleduster:
A person who does not qualify to be a hero but possesses extraordinary fighting power. Realizing potential in Kōichi, he drags him into his vigilante activities.

Plot
Set before the events of the main My Hero Academia manga, the story revolves around Koichi Haimawaria young man who does not qualify to become an official hero. He uses his humble Quirk to help people in his free time. An unexpected encounter with thugs brought him across Knuckleduster and Pop Stepforming an impromptu but passionate group of vigilantes.
Manga and publishing
Manga My Hero Academia: Vigilantes was released on Shonen Jump GIGA in August 2016 and moved on Shonen Jump+ in December 2016. Viz Media released the manga digitally in English in August 2017 and in print thereafter. Service MANGA Plus by Shueisha also offers digital copies in English.
