The Hokage is the highest leader of Konoha village, and the Hokage's position is directly below the Daimyo – the lord of the Fire Nation. Below are some facts about the position of Hokage in Naruto that you may not know.
1. 6 out of 7 Hokage were chosen due to their internal power
As you may know, 6 out of the 7 current Hokages were chosen based on the Nepotism system. Nepotism is a system in which the selection of positions is given to family, relatives or the like, thereby depriving others of opportunities.
When Konoha was first built, Hashirama wanted to make Madara Hokage, but Tobirama did not accept and the choice of leader had to be done by voting.
Finally, the election between Hashirama and Madara was held in Konoha. The chosen one was Hashirama and he became the first leader of Konoha.
Turns out, Hashirama was the only Hokage chosen by election, then from Tobirama to Naruto, everyone was chosen by the previous Hokage.
2. Minato Namikaze has not yet revealed who his heir is

6. Jiraiya was asked to become Hokage three times but he always refused
Jiraiya was invited to become Hokage three times. The first time was when Hiruzen wanted to retire, the second time was after Minato's death, and the third time was when Hiruzen died by Orochimaru. But every time Jiraiya refused.

7. There were three Dark Hokages in Konoha's history
So far there have been three people considered the Dark Hokage and all three have taken on different roles.
